All new patients at Hogue Vein Institute receive either a FREE vein screening or a comprehensive evaluation submitted to insurance that includes a venous duplex ultrasound of the leg veins performed by an ARDMS certified Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
Conservative Vein Therapy
Conservative vein therapy refers to a non-invasive, non-procedural approach to reduce the signs and symptoms of an underlying vein condition, usually varicose veins. The conservative vein therapy approach adopted by Hogue Vein Institute involves lifestyle modifications, over-the-counter medications, and the use of medical grade compression stockings to be worn on the legs.
Endovenous Laser Ablation
Endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) is a minimally invasive ultrasound-guided procedure for treating varicose veins that delivers laser energy inside the vein.
Endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) is a minimally invasive ultrasound-guided procedure for treating varicose veins that delivers laser energy inside the vein. The laser energy is delivered through a tiny laser fiber to thermally ablate the targeted vein segment, effectively shrinking and sealing it shut.
Varicose Vein Treatments
The visible presence of bulging, tortuous veins beneath the skin is what many envision when they think of varicose veins. That is not always the case. Not all varicose veins involving the legs can be seen beneath the skin.
Cosmetic Vein Treatments
The presence of unwanted surface veins is a common concern for many of our patients at Hogue Vein Institute. These visibly prominent red or blue blood vessels cause aesthetic or cosmetic concerns and may be present on the legs, pelvis area, breasts, and face.
